I am a creative coach, trained and accredited by Performance Coach Training Ltd and Relational Dynamics 1st.
Most of what I know of life and the world comes from consuming the arts in some way, whether through books, films, art, music, theatre. I use my skills to support creative people who make us see the world in another way. I have worked with English National Opera, Siobhan Davies Dance, Society of West End Theatre, Chester Gateway Theatre, Oxford Concert Party, Chester Literature Festival, Studio Voltaire. I set up Catching Fireworks® in January 2009 to coach creative people from all over the world. I am also featured as one of The Design Trust's recommended creative business mentors.
I understand the thrills and frustrations of the creative process. One day you are brimming with ideas and can barely keep up with yourself. Then suddenly, you hit a moment where despite all skills and techniques, inspiration is nowhere to be found. As well as my writing, I dance the Argentine Tango, an improvised dance which enhances and contributes to my coaching style.
I have had my own life changed through coaching, as I describe in my video, How I Discovered Coaching. I have regular coaching sessions myself and go on coaching retreats to enhance my skills, learn new techniques and continue to develop professionally and personally. Coaching has helped me deal with panic attacks, a fear of public speaking and confidence issues.
Working with me, clients have: written their debut books; set 5 year creative practice goals (and achieved 80% of them within 2 years); had artwork placed into leading collections; been accepted into their first exhibitions and art fairs; invited to join prestigious boards; created meaningful post-retirement careers; developed their hobby into a key income strand; turned small creative ideas into large scale projects; redesigned their creative businesses; changed careers.
If you are serious about making a change in your creative life, let's start a conversation.
I am fully insured by Holistic Insurance and registered with the Information Commissioner's Office, Reg: Z3585624
